I am an engineering manager, with a particular interest in building educational software.

I have spent four years lecturing both full and part-time, instructing on the fundamentals of web development. Since then, I’ve been building a world-class software engineering team at General Assembly. You can read about working with me in my manager README.

I’ve worked in agency, in-house corporate and start-up environments, for companies like Erskine Design and Ubuntu, and for brands like Edelman, World Skills and Business Roundtable.

I received a first-class honours degree in Design from the University of Lincoln in 2010.

Speaking arrangements

I’ve had the opportunity to speak at a few events over the past few years, on the topics of design and the web.
